Upcoming Zombie Movies You Need to See
If you're a fan of zombies, you're in luck. From Resident Evil to The Walking Dead, zombies have been all the rage in movies, TV shows and video games lately. In upcoming years you should also expect to see a lot of the undead.
Here are a few great zombie movies you'll want to keep an eye out for in the future.
1. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
If you're a die-hard zombie fanatic, this movie may have already been on your radar for the past few years. As you may know, the producers suffered through several delays in casting and development, and for a while some wondered if the film would actually be made at all. Recently, however, actress Lily Collins has been signed on for the lead role of Elizabeth Bennett, which has quieted rumors — at least for now.
2. 28 Months Later
As you probably guessed based on the title, 28 Months Later is the sequel to the hit zombie movies 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. Like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, this movie may also have been on your radar for awhile. Rumors among fans and filmmakers have been spreading like wildfire on the Internet lately. In early April of 2013, director Danny Boyle initially put these rumors to rest, stating that he wasn't interested in making a trilogy.
Soon after, however, Boyle said he would love to direct a third installment. The release date won't be for a few years, but 28 Months Later will certainly be a movie you don't want to miss. In this movie, after all, the rage virus will spread out from England and into the world at large.
3. The 4th Reich
The 4th Reich is an interesting twist on the classic zombie movie. Set in 1944, this film tells the story of a group of Nazi scientists charged with creating zombies. These zombies would help usher in an undefeatable new world order — The 4th Reich.
The very thought of a zombie-run 4th Reich is terrifying — just imagine a world without freedom of religion, the ability to travel wherever you want, or even worse, ecommerce fulfillment solutions! The terror of the Nazi Reich gives this movie a chilling air and added tension. You definitely don't want to miss it.
4. The Zombie Survival Guide
This movie will adapt the famous book by Max Brooks for the big screen. As the title suggests, this book is a manual instructing the steps you should take in the event of an actual zombie attack. It cites examples of how other cultures, such as Ancient Egyptians, have survived zombie attacks, and uses zombies to explain the demise of the Roanoke Colony. This film may border on the ridiculous, but it's sure to be entertaining!
